I was sorry to receive the telephone call from Vera yesterday evening to say that your mother had passed away. I remember many happy occasions at Broomhill Park when your parents provided wonderful hospitality. Your mother was always so welcoming. I know from speaking to you that life had been difficult for her in recent years. I would hope that the end came peacefully. Your father will miss her greatly as will Rhonda and yourself. I express my condolences to you all.
Unfortunately I will be unable to make it to the funeral tomorrow but be assured that you will be in my thoughts and prayers at this sad time.
