Acknowledgement.
Adrian Slevin, Dromore, Co Tyrone.
Died 17th May 2026.
The recent loss of our much loved Adrian has left a deep void in the lives and hearts of all who knew and loved him. Adrian was a widely respected, hard-working gentleman, but primarily he was a devoted family man, precious husband of Michelle, adored father of Caitlin and Cora. Dearly loved son of Patsy and Dympna, brother of Aisling (Eddy) and Rosie (Gerard). Brother in law of Ryan and Niamh, son in law of Michael and Maureen and a much loved uncle and friend to many.
We his family are all heartbroken at the loss of Adrian, but we are greatly consoled by the outpouring of support, loving care and attention shown to us by all who crossed our paths, during Adrian’s wake and funeral, and by the many messages of support online and on social media, which illustrated the positive effect that Adrian had on so many people during his lifetime . We wish to express our sincere appreciation and heartfelt thanks to all those who sympathised, prayed for and supported us.
Thank you to everyone who called to the wake at our home. Sincere thanks to everyone who assisted at the wake. Thank you to those who brought food and to those who gave so generously of their time to serve food and tea, your kindness and support were truly appreciated. Our thanks also to those who telephoned, sent Mass or Sympathy cards, messages or flowers. Thank you to those who lined the funeral route or who joined us at the Requiem Mass, especially those who travelled long distances to be with us.
We are blessed to have had the love and support of our family, friends, neighbours and work colleagues, your support throughout this difficult time has helped us in so many ways.
A special word of thanks to Rev. Father Joseph Nnamdi Mokwe and Father Denis Dolan P.E for their spiritual support and the very comforting Requiem Mass. We convey our appreciation also to the Sacristan and everyone who took part in the Liturgy, especially our readers, and musicians Ryan O’Donnell and Tracy Ryan, who provided the beautiful reverent and uplifting music, which added so much to the funeral service. Our thanks also to St. Conor’s Primary School and Tummery Primary School for their guards of honour, Adrian would have loved this, and it meant a lot to us as a family.
Thank you to McAtee Funeral Directors for the dignified and professional manner, in which the funeral arrangements were carried out and to the gravedigger Anton for preparing Adrian’s final resting place. Also to Sheenagh of Bumblebee Garden for the beautiful floral tributes, and to the St. Patrick’s Hall ladies for the most welcome refreshments after the burial.
And finally, we send our sincere thanks and deep appreciation to the Emergency Services, we are very grateful for the kindness and respect shown to Adrian and to our family.
As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, please accept this acknowledgement as a gesture of our family’s deepest gratitude.
Adrian is loved and missed every day. May his passionate, kind, generous soul be granted peace and eternal rest. His Month’s Mind Mass will be celebrated in St Davog’s Church, Dromore on Saturday 27th June at 7pm. Our Lady pray for him
