Aileen CARMICHAEL

The family and partner of the late Aileen Carmichael, R.I.P., wish to thank everyone who supported & sympathised with us during this time of loss & great sadness. A loving partner to Coilin, devoted mother to Cillian and James, beloved daughter of Cathal (R.I.P.) and Brigid (R.I.P.), sorely missed sister and sister-in-law to Órla, Céire, Cathal and Séan & doting aunt to Ava and Shauna.

Thank you to all who called at our home, sent Mass & sympathy cards, took time to pen letters and notes in books of condolence, left beautiful floral tributes & gifts, as well as all those who attended the funeral, especially those who had to travel long distances. A special mention goes to all who helped prepare the house & provided refreshments at the wake so willingly also.

Our sincere thanks go to the priests of the parish: Fr. Harkin for his touching sermon and Mnsgnr. McCanny for his spiritual support and those who read and presented gifts at the funeral. Thanks to the gravediggers, sacristan, Glack and Drum G.A.C.'s and Lisa & Gregory Kearney for their heartfelt music.

Thanks also go to W.J. O'Brien & Son, Funeral Directors, Eglinton, for the professional & dignified manner in which the funeral was carried out, Curran's Bakery for providing the refreshments after the burial and St. Finlough's Centre committee for preparing the venue.

A very special and heartfelt word of thanks should go to the medical staff who tried so hard to revive her on that fateful day. Thanks also to the staff of Bovalley Medical Centre, the Coroner's Liaison Service and the PSNI too.

As it is impossible to thank everyone individually, we trust this acknowledgement will be accepted as a token of our very sincerest appreciation.

Eternal rest grant unto Her, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon Her. May Her Soul, & all the Souls of the Faithfully Departed through the Mercy of God, Rest In Peace. Amen.

Aileen's First Anniversary Mass will be held in St. Finlough's Chapel, Loughermore Road, Ballykelly on Saturday 20th January 2024 at 6pm. All are most welcome to attend.
