We, the brothers and sisters of Alexis Smith, wish to extend our gratitude and appreciation for the kindness and support shown to us in the days following his death.
Our thanks to those who attended the wake and funeral and shared their stories and memories of Alexis with us.
Thank you for the cards, messages of sympathy and social media tributes.
A special word of thanks to staff and residents of Mantlin Court, where Alexis spent his last four years, and to all carers who supported Alexis in his home previously.
We also appreciate the generous donations to Friends of Mantlin Court Comfort Funds.
Thank you to Fr Kevin Malcomson for his support and fitting tribute during the Mass.
Thanks to Darragh, Elaine, Ian and Kate for the music and to everyone who participated in the liturgy.
Our deepest appreciation to Ollie, Leo and Conor at Swift and Mc Caffrey Funeral Directors. Their guidance and attention to detail were a great comfort to us.
Our thanks too to the gravediggers who prepared Alexis’s resting place with care.
Finally thank you to the staff at St Patrick’s GAA clubhouse in Donagh for welcome refreshments following the funeral.
