Alison (Ali) McCARTNEY

The family of the late Alison (Ali) McCartney would like to express their heartfelt thanks to everyone who sympathised and supported them through the recent sudden passing of a much loved daughter, sister, sister-in-law, and aunt.

We give heartfelt thanks to all those who offered up prayers, visited our home, telephoned, sent messages, Mass and sympathy cards, provided food and offered help and support in any way.

We extend a special thanks to all her police colleagues and those she worked with in the community in Newry and South Armagh. In particular we would like to thank her fellow officers from the South Armagh Neighbourhood Policing Team who provided a guard of honour for Ali and carried her from St. Patrick’s Church Lisburn.

A special thanks to Fr. Eamon Magorrian for his home visits and beautiful mass and Fr. Dermot McCaughan for his spiritual support. Thank you to Fiona Taggart and organist, Mamie Hendry for the beautiful singing and music throughout the mass.

Thanks to all our amazing friends and neighbours who gave us so much help and loving support. Alison would be so proud.

Thanks to Ronnie Thompson Funeral Directors for the professional and dignified manner in which they carried out the funeral arrangements.

It is impossible to thank everyone individually so we hope this acknowledgement goes some way in expressing our deep appreciation to all.

Alison's Month Mind Mass will be celebrated in St. Patrick’s Church Lisburn on Tuesday May 17th at 10 a.m.
