Acknowledgement – Andy Fleming, formerly of King Street, Fintona, Died 13th August 2023

The family of the late Andy would like to express our deep appreciation and heartfelt thanks to all those who sympathised, prayed for, and supported us through our recent sad bereavement. Andy was a widely respected gentleman and a dearly loved husband, father, father-in-law, granda, brother, brother-in-law, uncle and friend.

We would like to acknowledge all those who paid their respects in any way. Thank you to those who sent Mass or sympathy cards, flowers or donations in lieu, and to those who left messages online or via social media.

Thank you to those who called to the wake house, lined the funeral route or who joined us at the Mass. Sincere thanks to all our relatives, friends and neighbours who helped us in so many ways, to grieve as a family.

A special word of thanks to Father Seán Mulligan for his spiritual support throughout Andy’s illness and the comforting requiem Mass. We convey our appreciation also to the Sacristan and everyone who took part in the Liturgy, especially the readers, and our musician Sinead Taggart and Plunkett McGartland who provided the beautiful music.

Thank you to McAtee Funeral Directors for the dignified and professional way the funeral arrangements were carried out and to the gravedigger Tommy for preparing a final resting place for Andy’s ashes. Our thanks also to McAtee’s Bar & Restaurant for the very welcome refreshments after the funeral and to Roisin of Nettles & Petals for the lovely floral tributes. Thanks also to Lakeland Crematorium Cavan.

And finally, we send our grateful thanks to all the health professionals with whom Andy came into contact, in the SWAH and especially those who cared for Andy in Ward 4 Altnagelvin Hospital. Thank you to District Nurse Siobhan McGoldrick and the Marie Curie Nurse who promptly arrived at the house on the day of Andy’s passing. We are very grateful for all your assistance with Andy’s care during his short illness.

As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, please accept this acknowledgement as a gesture of our family’s deepest gratitude, everyone’s support has not gone unnoticed. Thank You.

Andy is forever loved and sadly missed, may his gentle, generous soul be granted eternal rest, his Month’s Mind Mass will be celebrated in St Lawrence’s Church, Fintona on Saturday 9th September at 6pm. Our Lady pray for him.
