Angela HANNAWAY
The family of Angela Hannaway (Armagh) 26th June 2026 RIP have requested this acknowledgement is posted in appreciation and thanks. Angela's husband Johnny, children Karen, Gary, Ciara, Ciaran, Kevin and Jane, grandchildren, sons and daughters in law sisters and brothers wish to thank all those who sympathised with them during their sad bereavement.
To all our wonderful family, friends and neighbours whose support was invaluable over the wake and funeral and indeed throughout Angela's life. To all those who attended the wake house brought mass/sympathy cards and gifts of food, posted online their sympathies or sent personal letters. We thank particularly all those who travelled a distance to share in our grief and convey their condolences in person.
No words seem adequate to express our thanks to the exemplary care Mummy got at home; from the professional team from the Complex Care team in particular Dermot Bellew and to the Hospital at Home team especially Dr Luke Sherry. We are eternally grateful that your efforts made it possible for her to remain at home.
We thank also all the priests of Armagh parish for their pastoral care and in a very special way Fr Emmauel Fasakin who forged a special bond with Angela and who concelebrated a very fitting and personal funeral mass and to Fr James Adawai who was the main celebrant alondside Fr Alex and Fr David Nugent. It was very moving to see the 4 priests celebrating and praying for our precious mother and dearest wife.
Thanks also to the wonderful sacristan team of Armagh Cathedral; Roger, Jimmy and Mick who prepared the church and thanks to Catherine and Dermot for the wonderful music which added so much to the celebration of the mass .
Finally to Micheal Vincent who dug her final resting place and to Mone funeral Directors for the compassionate care shown to Angela and to us as a family.
Thanks to the Harps club for the kind use of their facilities to host post burial meal kindly provided by Our T's. At the risk of failing to mention someone we trust this acknowledgement will be accepted by all as a sincere token of our appreciation.
Angela's month mind mass will be held in St Malachys church Armagh on Monday 27th June at 7:30pm
