Sincere thanks to those who travelled great distances to pay respects and share many lovely memories and stories about mum. It was incredible hearing how loved and valued she was in all areas of life; your unwavering generosity and kindness has meant so much in these heartbreaking times.
A special word of thanks to the consultants and staff in wards 8 & 3 in SWAH for caring for mum so well the last 3 months, and the Rehabilitation ward in OHPCC. To staff in ward 5 in SWAH who cared for mum in her final week, the kindness compassion dignity and outstanding attention you gave to both mum and the family was so greatly appreciated and a special thanks to Nurse Ryan who went the extra mile for mum and family, it meant the world to us.
Most sincere and heartfelt thanks and gratitude to Fr. Sean McCartan for the unwavering and continued support he gave mum and family. All his visits to mum in hospital, his prayer offerings, for going out of his way to celebrate mum’s funeral Mass and give such a beautiful poignant homily, we are eternally grateful to you and privileged to have you as our Parish Priest.
Our most heartfelt thanks to Leo and Agnes Donaghy and Philip, undertakers and funeral directors for their incredible kindness, professionalism, dignity, compassion and support shown to us from mum’s passing, burial and thereafter. Thanks also to Brendan the gravedigger for preparing mum’s final resting place.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to Sylvia the Sacristan, altar servers, Damien and Vonnie Donnelly and Kathleen Gartland the Eucharistic Ministers, nieces, nephews, cousins and grandchildren who had roles in the liturgy and service. Heartfelt thanks to mum’s nieces Maria and Laura for providing beautiful touching music, Noleen Neill for the deeply emotional singing and a special heartfelt thanks to Joe Campbell who went out of his way and so kindly and beautifully sang mum’s favourite song as she was carried to her final resting place. It was incredibly touching and moving.
Thanks to Farley’s Bar Beragh for providing refreshments after the funeral and to Beragh Red Knights GAA for the use of Pavillion to accommodate this.
As it would be impossible to thank every-one individually, please accept this acknowledgement as a small token of our great appreciation.
Mum’s months mind mass will be celebrated on Sunday 19th July in the Church of The Immaculate Conception Beragh at 11.30am
May she rest in eternal peace in the loving arms of God.
