We, Anne’s family wish to offer sincere and heartfelt thanks to everyone who helped us during our recent, sad loss.

We are indebted to Rev Canon Fee PP Clonoe for coming to us so quickly after Anne’s sudden passing on the evening of Christmas Eve. We will always be very grateful to her close friends & family members, who gave up their own Christmas preparations to be with us on that very sad night.

We sincerely thank Peter Devlin & staff at Michael Dorman & son Funeral Directors who worked all through Christmas Eve night and over the Christmas holiday period to ensure Anne’s remains were returned to us as soon as was logistically possible. Thank you Peter & team for being there to help us through the wake and funeral.

We give special thanks to Dr. Orla Fitzsimons, Anne’s GP, for giving up her Christmas leave to help us also with the timely return of her remains. We thank Dr. Orla and all the staff at Stewartstown Health Centre for their compassionate care of Anne over the last number of years.

Thank you to everyone who sent flowers, sympathy or mass cards & condolences on social media to members of the family. Thanks to all those family, neighbours & friends who attended the wake, brought us food or helped us, especially our cousins Anne Coyle & Catherine Hughes who worked throughout to serve refreshments to visitors. Special thanks to Kevin Lowe & team in Stewartstown for providing food for the family.

Thanks to Sean Moloney for his beautiful & very moving piping in front of the funeral cortege and to the grave. We were very touched by the numbers of people who stood in such poor weather conditions outside the home on the morning of the funeral & lined the route to the Church. Thank you to everyone who attended Anne’s funeral & sympathised with us at the graveside. Thank you to Anne’s friend of many years & Church sacristan Margaret Taggart for all her help & preparation of the Church.

We thank Canon Fee for his beautiful & personal funeral mass and homily. Thank you to our family members for their readings, prayers of the faithful & reflection. We offer sincere appreciation to Anne’s friend & organist of the Church choir, Mary Coyle for her beautiful playing & choosing such lovely music to reflect Anne’s many years in the choir. Thanks also to Breige Canavan for singing so beautifully.

Thank you Canon Fee and Fr McCallion for leading her committal and to Joe & Gary Harte for preparing Anne’s final resting place next to her beloved husband, Brian.

Given that it is impossible to thank everyone individually we trust that this acknowledgement will be accepted by all as a token of our deep and abiding appreciation. The holy sacrifice of the Mass will be offered for your intentions.
Anne’s Month’s Mind Mass will take place on Tuesday 24th January at 7.30pm at St. Patrick’s Church, Clonoe.
