Cassidy- Newbridge & formerly Eden, Greenlough

Mary, along with the children – Theresa, Bronagh, Pearse, Declan, Roseena and Eiméar – and the entire family circle of the late Artie R.I.P., wish to express their sincere thanks to all those who sympathised with them during their recent bereavement.

Special thanks to Fr Gates for his spiritual support, guidance and celebration of Artie’s beautiful Requiem Mass, and to Fr Fox and Deacon Kevin Duffy for their pastoral care and attentiveness to Artie over the years.

Many thanks to all the healthcare practitioners, ambulance and medical staff, and in particular, the community care workers to whom we are truly grateful for the many years of care they provided to Artie.

Heartfelt thanks to Sean O’Leary’s GAC and members of the community who volunteered their time during the wake and funeral, and for the use of the club’s Hall. In addition, we’d like to thank the local businesses who provided their facilities during the wake.

We are truly grateful to the Gribbin Girls for the beautiful music during the funeral service; and to the church sacristans and volunteers, as well as James and Luke McCoy who prepared the grave.

Many thanks to the Elk and Creagh Concrete for providing the catering and hospitality after the funeral.

We would like to extend our thanks to the family, friends and neighbours who attended Artie’s wake and funeral, sent messages of condolence, made charitable donations, and also those who provided and helped to serve refreshments during the wake. We are truly grateful for the support and kindness shown by all, and for the kind words that were spoken so often about Artie. It means so much to us and continues to bring us comfort.

Finally, we wish to extend huge thanks to McKiernan & Sons Funeral Directors, for their compassion and professionalism throughout this difficult time. We are extremely thankful for their direction and guidance.

The Holy sacrifice of the Mass will be offered for the intentions of all.

The Month’s Mind Mass for Artie will be celebrated on Sunday 1st December at 10.15am in the Church of St Trea, Newbridge.
