The family of the late Austin Curry wishes to express its sincere gratitude to all those who offered sympathy, support and kindness following the passing of our beloved Austin. We are deeply appreciative of everyone who visited Austin’s home, sent sympathy cards, flowers, food and messages of condolence, and attended the wake and funeral. Your presence, generosity and compassion have been a great source of comfort to us.

We would like to acknowledge with gratitude Dr Canavan and Partners at City View Medical Practice for the care, professionalism and support shown to Austin. Our sincere thanks are also extended to the Donemana District Nursing Team for their dedicated care, kindness and commitment throughout Austin’s illness.

We are profoundly grateful to Austin’s oncologists, Dr Hossam and Dr Mazdai, together with the nursing teams in Sperrin Outpatients at the North West Cancer Centre.

Special appreciation is extended to the doctors and nursing teams of the Foyle Hospice for the outstanding care, dignity and support afforded to Austin and our family during his final weeks.

We sincerely thank Reverend Stephen Hibbert and Austin’s lifelong friend, Reverend Canon David McBeth, for their visits, prayers, guidance and pastoral care, and for conducting a beautiful and meaningful funeral service.

Our thanks also go to the ladies of Glendermott Presbyterian Church for providing refreshments following the funeral service.

We are especially grateful to Austin’s Aunt Ruth, Uncle David and the family of D & R Hay & Sons Funeral Directors for the caring, dignified and professional manner in which the funeral arrangements were carried out from the first phone call made to yourselves you offered us much needed support and guidance at an extremely difficult time.

We also wish to acknowledge all those who kindly made donations in lieu of flowers to Foyle Hospice and Glendermott Presbyterian Church in Austin’s memory.

As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, please accept this acknowledgement as a token of our sincere appreciation and gratitude.

"The chain will link again."
