Osborne (Poyntzpass) Aveen (nee Convery) died October 18th 2020 peacefully surrounded by her loving family. Beloved wife of Kevin and devoted mother of Finn, Rory, Casey and Ellie, treasured daughter of Roisin and Seamus and loving sister of Deirdre, Paula and Sheena.

House and funeral strictly private due to the current situation. Those who would like to have attended the funeral, but due to the current restrictions cannot, could leave a personal message below or on www.funeraltimes.com in the condolences section.

Anyone wishing to pay their respects, the funeral cortege will arrive into Poyntzpass Village on Tuesday at 11.50am en route to St. Joseph’s Church.

Our Lady Queen of The Most Holy Rosary pray for Her.

Deeply regretted and sadly missed by her husband, sons, daughters, mother, father, sisters, mother-in-law Mairead, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law and the entire family circle.

Dear Family,

I am so deeply sorry to hear of the death of your mummy/wife, I was extremely lucky enough to meet your mummy whilst in hospital from the 6th-11th October, I had no understanding your mother was ill as she was so upbeat & the most nicest person I have ever ever ever met, she just made me feel so safe & that I thank her for so very very much. She spoke of u all, every single second, we shared a wee bed opposite so we both could hear our conversations lol She always exclaimed how proud of all She was of u all & it often made her sad she wouldn’t be there to see it all. I was so v lucky to leave the following Saturday, I hugged & kissed your mummy as if I would see her in a few weeks or so, I really can’t believe that that would have been the last time I would see her. Such an angel & she will always be in heaven the greatest angel that ever did walk/ love on this earth. Things like this make you treasure that someone you have in your life. Just goes to shows how a meeting of someone so special can make such an impression in your life, that I have to thank to your mummy. Our deepest sympathies to Kevin, Finn, Rory, Casey, Ellie and family. We have extremely fond memories of great family times spent together in Poyntzpass and Ballycastle. Aveen is one of life's ladies who will be greatly missed by all who she touched with her kindness and generosity in spirit and friendship.
