The death has occurred of:
Ben Fitzpatrick
Acknowledgment Notice for the late Ben Fitzpatrick.
We, the family of the Late Ben Fitzpatrick would like to convey our sincere and heart felt appreciation to all who supported us during the recent loss of our beloved father. Our grief and sense of loss, although never eradicated, is eased by the many prayers, kind words, fond memories, messages of sympathy, cards, flowers and calls we have received in recent days. We were truly humbled and strengthened by all those who attended Dad’s wake and funeral, reflecting the love and respect that was shared towards Dad by all of you.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank those who looked after our dearest Dad’s medical needs during his illness, especially; Dr. Bonner, Dr Kate and Dr Khang and all staff and doctors at Daisy Hill Hospital. The care, compassion and the generosity of their time was precious to us. Also, we will be forever grateful to Jenny, the palliative nurse, who ensured Daddy was heard and listened to for many hours offering kind words and support. The Medical teams not only provided incredible care for Daddy, but provided the family with much needed support and guidance.
A kind word of support to Cannon Brown. His grace, empathy and his eulogy, was something that we hold dear to our hearts. We thank our wonderful family for the music arrangements that guided us and supported us, more than you know throughout the funeral. The music was carefully thought out, planned and rehearsed- Dad would have really loved this.
We thank those who travelled from afar, especially acknowledging those who took flights to be with Daddy. We think of those who were further afield and know that we felt your care and support along the way.
Your heartfelt care, courtesy and craic over the years became fully apparent during the days of the wake and funeral. Thank you all for your kindness shown to Dad over the years.
Finally, our sincere gratitude is extended to Cathal and all at McAnulty Funeral Directors for the dignified and respectful manner in which they carried out the funeral. We cannot put words to the level of comfort you gave in guiding us through some of our toughest days on this earth. Your continued professional service is greatly appreciated by the Fitzpatrick family.
As a family we would dearly love to thank everyone who supported us through this difficult time. We find solace in your sympathies and prayers and we continue to pray that Dad is now joined in Heaven with his Mum, Dad, Brother and Sister and all who have gone before him.
Ben’s Months Mind Mass will be held in Mary Queen of Peace, Warrenpoint at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday 13th September 2025.
