Mullinaburtlin,
Lisnaskea.

We, the family of the late Bernard Mc Killion wish to express our sincere gratitude to all who supported us during our recent bereavement. We would like to sincerely thank all those friends and neighbours who visited Bernard during his illness and travelled to hospital which provided a great source of comfort to him.
We thank those who attended Swifts funeral home for the wake and Bernard's funeral. Thankyou to those who sent mass and sympathy cards, telephoned or sent messages and to those who kindly donated to our chosen charity “Friends of Cancer”.
We would like to thank all those who brought food during the wake and to Erne Bistro Lisnaskea and Lorraine Murphy from the Realto Centre Ballyconnell.
Thankyou to Bernards neighbours, Danielle, Geraldine, Paddy and the two Margaret’s for helping out in the funeral home, and also in Bernards home during the wake.
We will be forever grateful to all Bernard’s neighbours and friends who provided the most beautiful welcome home for Bernard’s return to Mullinaburtlin and the touching tribute placed at the end of the road the next morning as Bernard left his beloved Mullinaburtlin for the final time. We will be forever indebted to you for the love, support and friendship you have shown over the years to Bernard.
We want to thank the Doctors, Nurses, Palliative Care Nurses, Nursing Assistants and Cleaners in Altnagelvin hospital, the Cancer Centre in the City Hospital in Belfast and Ward 7 in South West Acute Hospital for the care they showed Bernard and to the Doctors of Brookeborough and Tempo Medical Practice. Sincere thanks to Pharmacist James Mc Kenna of Valley Pharmacy Clogher and Mc Daid’s Pharmacy Lisnaskea for all their help and support during Bernard’s illness.
We would like to thank Fr Raymond Donnelly, Fr Brian Darcy and Canon Jimmy for their spiritual support. Thankyou to our dear friend Anne O Neill who brought communion to Bernard whilst in hospital and prayed with him in his final weeks.
We would also like to thank the Palliative Transport services specifically Bernie, Cyril and Colin. A word of thanks also to Pat Cullen for assisting with Bernards transfer to SWAH.
A special thankyou to those who sat with Bernard during the three days of his wake. Thankyou to Canon Jimmy for officiating Bernard’s funeral mass, Karen Mc Elroy for the beautiful singing which was so fitting for Bernard. We want to thank all those who took part in Bernard’s funeral mass, the Readers, Joanie and Frances who brought up the gifts, Eucharistic ministers, and Coffin bearers. Thankyou to the Ushers and John Mc Caffrey for assisting with graveside prayers.
Thankyou also to Marty, and the staff of the Club house Donagh for the beautiful food after the funeral. Finally we want to express our deepest gratitude to Ollie, Leo and Conor Swift of Swifts Funeral undertakers for the attention and care they provided our family during this difficult time and for the caring dignified manner in which they carried out Bernard’s funeral arrangements and final resting place. We as a family will be forever grateful to you all. While it is impossible to thank everyone individually we hope this will be accepted as a heartfelt acknowledgement of our deepest gratitude to you all and sincere appreciation. Forever missed by his Sisters, Brothers, Brothers in Law, Sisters in Law, Nieces and Nephews, Grand-nieces and Nephews and the extended family circle.
Bernard’s Months Mind Mass will be celebrated in Holy Cross Church Lisnaskea on Sunday 21st June at 11am and can be viewed live on https://www.churchservices.tv/lisnaskea.
