Brendan GARVEY

We, the family of Brendan Garvey would like to express our gratitude to everyone who has supported us over the last few weeks.
We have been touched and humbled by the countless acts of kindness shown us by extended family, friends and neighbours and by all who have given so generously of their time in preparing and attending the wake and funeral. We are grateful to everyone who travelled to be with us and for the many messages and cards received.
We would like to thank the medical teams who cared for Brendan, the Friary surgery, the Parkinson’s nurses who so expertly assisted him during the years of his illness and the staff on the Ramone ward at Craigavon hospital stroke unit who looked after him and guided us with such compassion.
We thank Fr Emmanuel for celebrating the funeral mass, our dear friend Fr Paddy McKenna for joining us and Deacon Eunan McCreesh for visiting Brendan at home and for his thoughtful eulogy. We were especially moved by the beautiful music from St Malachy’s choir.
We are grateful to the staff of the Navan centre who provided the reception in a place that Brendan loved.
A final word of thanks to Hugo and his team at Mc Ardle's whose professionalism and understanding helped us through a very difficult time.
As it would be impossible to thank each of you individually, we hope this acknowledgement will be accepted by all as a token of our sincere appreciation.
Brendan’s Month’s Mind Mass will be held at St Malachy’s Church on Friday 28th March at 7.30pm.
