The death has occurred of:
Brendan McGeary
Helene, Clodagh and Claire along with the extended family of the late Brendan Mc Geary, (Edendork, Co. Tyrone) wish to sincerely thank everyone who sympathised with us during this recent sad bereavement of our loving husband, Father, father-in-law, grandad, brother, brother-in-law and uncle.
Our heartfelt thanks to all those who stood out to welcome his remains to our home and those who with much respect and in a dignified manner lined the route to St Malachy’s Chapel for his requiem Mass. To all Brendan’s extended family and many friends and all at St Malachy’s GAC Edendork who paid tribute to him in a very moving and memorable way as we made our way to the Chapel, your presence and support was most uplifting and encouraging, we know that he would have been very proud and grateful to you all. To those who contacted us during this time and to all who sent Mass cards, left condolences, beautiful online tributes and bouquets, they were deeply appreciated.
A very special word of thanks to Dean Kevin Donaghy and to Fr Peter McAnenly for supporting us and carrying us through these difficult days and for celebrating a most beautiful mass which was a fitting tribute to Brendan’s life of faith. A word of gratitude also to Monsignor Colum Curry for his spiritual guidance and support. Thanks to the sacristan for preparing the Chapel and to our friend Plunkett McGartland and Pat Casey for the lovely music during the mass and to Nial Mc Kearney for playing the Bag Pipes as we made our way to the Chapel.
Finally, a special word of thanks to Patrick and PJ Quinn Funeral Directors for carrying out the funeral arrangements with great dignity, professionalism and sensitivity and to the grave diggers Peter and Kieran. As it is impossible to thank everyone individually please accept this as an expression of our sincere appreciation to all who have helped us in any way.
Brendan’s months mind mass will take place on Friday 19th February at 7.30pm in St. Patrick’s Church Dungannon and can be viewed online http://www.parishofdungannon.com/webcam.html
