The death has occurred of:
Brian BELL
The wife and family of the late Brian Bell would like to thank everyone who sympathised with us during our recent bereavement. To all who called to the wake, sent Mass and sympathy cards and attended the funeral, your kind words of comfort were gratefully received and much appreciated.
A special word of thanks is given to the Marie Curie nurses that attended daddy with such gentleness especially Elaine who cared for daddy in his final hours and comforted us in our grief.
Our deepest gratitude goes to Pamela from the Foyle Hospice for the care and attention she bestowed on daddy that kept him free of pain at all times. This has given us as a family untold comfort during these weeks since daddy died.
We would also like to thank the entire staff of Eglinton Medical Practice and in particular Dr McKendry. The gentle respectful way you cared for daddy will always be remembered by us.
To Fr Noel McDermott who has always been a steadfast source of comfort to daddy and to our whole family. Words cannot express how eternally appreciative we are for all your prayers for daddy, particularly during his funeral. Your gentle, comforting homily encapsulated everything that daddy was in life. Thank you too to Aine and Fidelma for enhancing Requiem Mass so beautifully with their music and hymns.
Thank you to everyone who provided food during the wake and to Cassidy's catering for the meal after the funeral. Thank you too to Slaughmanus GAA for the use of the hall.
Our appreciation too, to W J O'Brien Funeral Directors who carried out the funeral arrangements in such a dignified and caring way.
Brian's Month's Mind Mass will be celebrated on Saturday August 26 at St Mary's Church, Tamnaherin at 6.30pm.
