The Hegarty Family wish to express their sincere thanks and appreciation to everyone who supported and sympathised with them in the recent sad loss of their much loved brother, brother-in-law, uncle and friend, Brian Hegarty (RIP).

Thank you to everyone who attended Brian’s wake and funeral Mass, those who watched Mass via webcam, sent cards, messages, flowers and photos and those who visited us in recent weeks. We thank you for sharing your stories and memories of Brian with us. Thanks to everyone who helped at the wake and provided food.

Thank you to Fr Canny (Waterside) and the Emergency Response teams who attended Brian on 1st January, Dr Boyle and staff at Glendermot Medical, Fr McDevitt (Steelstown) and Fr Patrick Lagan for celebrating Brian’s funeral Mass with his kind words and prayers, which brought us great comfort. To AnnMarie Hickey for her beautiful singing and to all those who contributed to Brian’s requiem Mass.

We wish to thank the staff at Ardmore graveyard and Ardmore Community Centre and a special word of thanks to Ciaran and the staff at W J O’Brien & Son Funeral Directors, Eglinton, for the professional, supportive and dignified manner in which they conducted Brian’s funeral arrangements.

Brian’s Months Mind Mass will be offered for your intentions at 7.30pm on Thursday 1st February 2024 in St Columb’s Church, Waterside. Mass can also be viewed on the parish webcam.

Brian will be sadly missed by his family and friends. Rest in Peace Brian. xxxx
