The family of the late Brian Rafferty wish to thank most sincerely all those who sympathised with us on our recent bereavement of a Cherished Son, Brother, Brother In-law, Uncle and Nephew.

Special thanks to the Medical Teams and Chaplain Fr Brian Fitzpatrick at Craigavon Area Hospital, Ardmore Medical Practice and Mc Aleer Medical Hall for their dedicated care, support and compassion. We also send our heartfelt thanks to all health professionals with whom Brian came in contact with during his life and in particular Margo, Cookstown Adult Centre and Sperrinview Special School.

Words cannot express our heartfelt thanks to all our dear friends and Neighbours, and extended family who welcomed Brian’s remains to our family home. To all who helped at the house before during and after the wake your kindness and support has been overwhelming.

Thanks to those who bought food and refreshments during the wake. To those who managed the traffic, supplied outdoor lighting and marquee. Thanks also to those that supplied transport (buses) to the wake from the Rowan Tree Centre and giving their time so generously we are most grateful.

Thanks to everyone who contacted us, left online tributes, sent sympathy cards, Mass cards and flowers. Thanks to those who visited or attended the wake and especially those who travelled long distances to be with us. Thanks to the gravediggers for preparing Brian’s grave.

We wish to express a special thank you to Fr David Moore P.P for his continued friendship and loyal support of our family especially during this difficult time, for his compassion and guidance throughout the wake and funeral, and for the beautiful and personal Mass and homily which was a fitting tribute of Brian’s life. Also thanks to Fr Barney Mc Aleer for concelebrating at the requiem mass and Fr Leo Traynor for all you’re spiritual support.

Special thanks to Jackie Fox and Eamonn Donnelly, Jimmy Mc Ilvenna and Mary Mc Clure for the beautiful and fitting music during the requiem mass. Thanks also to all who contributed to the requiem Mass to celebrate Brian’s life.

Thank you to Stephen Mallon for the beautiful flowers

Thanks to Saint Mary’s Primary School Pomeroy for their Guard of Honour.

Thanks also to Maria Corrigan and staff for the refreshments after the funeral service and Denis Devlin for the use of Cavanakeeran Community Centre.

Special thanks to Derek Ryan for taking time out of a busy schedule to attend Brian’s funeral.

Finally, a special word of thanks to Kate Mc Aleer (Funeral Director) for taking such great care of Brian and our family and for carrying out the funeral arrangements with great dignity, professionalism and sensitivity.

As it is impossible to thank everyone individually, please accept this as an expression of our sincere appreciation to all who helped us in any way.

Brian’s months mind mass will take place on Friday 19th April in Church of The Assumption, Pomeroy, at 7:30pm.
