Brigid Keenan (née McAleavey)
Keenan (nee McAleavey) (Derryleckagh, Newry) died 17th July 2026 peacefully at Craigavon Area Hospital. Brigid RIP. Wife of the late Pete Keenan and much-loved mother of Peter, Elizabeth, Catherine, Briege, Patricia, Bernadette, and Marian. Sister of Stephen and the late Kathleen McArdle. Sacred Heart of Jesus have mercy on her soul.
Her remains will repose at her home 54 Derryleckagh Road, Newry, BT34 2NL on today Friday from 6:30pm – 10:00pm and on Saturday from 2pm – 9pm. Her remains will leave her home on Sunday at 12:30pm for 1:00pm funeral mass in St. Mary’s Church, Burren. Burial afterwards in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Newry.
Deeply regretted by her sorrowing son, daughters, daughter-in-law Michelle, sons-in-law Paddy, Kevin, Anthony, Paddy, Stephen, Paddy, her 23 loving grandchildren and great-grandson, brother, sister-in-law, brother-in-law, nephews, nieces, family circle and friends.
