The family of the late Brigid McGahan of 177A Ballynakilly Road, Killyman, Dungannon, who died on 14 September 2021, would like to thank most sincerely all those who sympathised with them on their recent bereavement.

We offer our heartfelt thanks to the many friends, and neighbours who contacted us at the time of her death and who provided emotional and practical support for us at this difficult time. For those who telephoned, sent floral tributes, cards and messages of condolences, we are truly grateful.

A special word of thanks to the Management and Staff of Ashbrook Care Home, where Mammy spent the last few years and where she was cared for with great dignity and devotion. Thanks also to Dean Kevin Donaghy PP VG and Fr Eamonn McCamley and Rev Mr Tony Hughes, Deacon, for their prayers and words of comfort and for the beautiful tribute to our mother at her requiem Mass, your very kind words were of great comfort to us. Thanks also to everyone who participated in Mammy’s Funeral Mass and to Malachy Cush and Michael O’Neill for the beautiful singing and music.

We also thank Mr Plunkett Teague, Undertaker, for his professionalism and his dedication and his care of us all throughout the wake and funeral. Thanks also to the gravediggers and to Brian Quinn for providing webcam facilities at the funeral mass.

To all our relatives, friends and neighbours who stood along the route to the Chapel, and to those who respectfully remained outside for the duration of the Mass, thank you for your support. The family appreciate your presence and dignified reverence. We thank the Committee and members of St Mary’s GAC, Killyman for the touching Guard of Honour as Mammy made her final way into the Chapel.

To those who helped in any way, your contribution made our loss more bearable. As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, please accept this acknowledgement as an expression of our deepest gratitude.

The Month’s Mind Mass for Brigid will be held on Friday 15 October 2021 at 7.00pm in St Brigid’s Chapel, Killyman. In order to comply with Covid restrictions seating is limited in the Chapel and this Mass will be for family and close friends only.
