Canon Patrick Mc SORLEY
We the family of the late Canon Patrick Mc Sorley would like to express our appreciation and heartfelt thanks to all those who offered their condolences, prayers and support during our recent sad bereavement.
Thank you to everyone who attended the wake, removal to the church and the funeral.
We especially thank those who made the journey from Canon Patrick’s parish in Scotland.
A special word of thanks to Father Gerry Donnelly, Bishop Frank Duggan, Canon Noel Mc Gahan, Father Aodhan Mc Crystal, Priests of the diocese of Galloway Scotland and priests from Maynooth college, for conducting a very fitting funeral mass.
We also extend our thanks to the musicians, Gabrielle, Lorraine and Ryan for the beautiful music.
Thank you to Joe Marlow and Dominic Muldoon for the caring and professional way they carried out the funeral arrangements, and to Brendan Mc Kenna for preparing the grave.
We thank the family and friends who helped in the home during the wake. Thanks also, to Canon Mc Gahan, Father Joseph, Father Aodhan Mc Crystal, Father Sean Mulligan and the chaplain in Craigavon area Hospital for their support during Canon Patrick’s stay in the hospital.
A sincere thanks to the carers who attended to Canon Patrick at home, the doctors, nurses and staff of Fintona medical centre and to John and the staff in Cassidy’s pharmacy Fintona.
We remember also, the staff of Craigavon area Hospital, and Roxborough House Moy, for the care they gave to Canon Patrick.
Sincere thanks to Shane O’ Hagan and the staff of the Bridge Tavern Eskra for the welcome refreshments after the funeral.

Canon Patrick’s month’s mind will be celebrated in St Patrick’s Church Eskra on Saturday 13th June at 12 noon.
