The husband and family of the late Carmel McClelland of Ballyoan, Rossdowney Road, Derry who died on 22nd May 2022, would like to thank most sincerely all those who sympathised with them on their recent loss.

We offer our heartfelt thanks to the many friends, neighbours and well-wishers who attended the wake, service and burial and who provided emotional and practical support for us at this difficult time. For those who telephoned, travelled long distances, sent floral tributes, cards and messages of condolences, we are truly grateful.

A special word of thanks to Dr Gidwani, Dr Nelson and all the nurses from Ward 31 at Altnagelvin Hospital, Dr McMullan and the palliative care team from Altnagelvin Hospital, Dr Harkin and Belle and the nurses and staff from Foyle Hospice for their kindness and care for Carmel; to all those who participated in the Funeral service, especially Fr. Canny and Dean Stewart, the readers and musicians; and finally to W J O’Brien & Son Funeral Directors, Eglinton for their sensitive and professional handling of arrangements.

To those who helped in any way, your contribution made our loss more bearable. Please accept this acknowledgement as an expression of our deepest gratitude. The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass will be offered for your intentions.

Carmel’s Months Mind Mass will be held on Saturday 25th June at 6.00pm in St Oliver Plunkett’s Church, Strathfoyle.
