The death has occurred of:
Carmel RAFFERTY (née O’ Donnell)
We the family of the late Carmel Rafferty (nee O’ Donnell) wish to share our heartfelt thanks and appreciation with those who supported us through this difficult time.
A sincere thanks to the medial staff in South West Acute Hospital, especially doctor Josh and all the nurses in ward 1 and ward 9. A special thank you to the palliative care team and district nurses in supporting us as a family and bringing mum to some comfort. To the Marie Curie nurses Majella and Annemarie who help us as a family to care for mum in her final days. To the wider WHSCT staff including social workers and carers who helped us keep mum at home we are truly thankful.
To our extended family and friends, neighbours your presence at the wake and funeral and your kind words, prayers and gestures of sympathy meant so much. We are especially thankful for those who brought food flowers and cards of sympathy and kept Mum (Carmel) in their thoughts and prayers. Your kindness has been truly comforting and deeply appreciated.
Our sincere thanks to Father Kevin and Father Declan for the prayerful mass and to Bernie Devlin for who provided beautiful music during the mass.
We would also like to thank Jay Maguire Funeral directors for making mums final wishes happen. Special thanks to Jackie and Michael for their professionalism compassion and dignified handling of arrangements and their thoughtful touches to our memories as a family.
Carmel’s Months mind mass will be celebrated in Christ the King Church on Sunday the 20th of July at 12pm.
