We the family of the late Cathal McQuaid, together with his partner Carol wish to thank most sincerely all those who sympathised and supported us during our recent sad bereavement. We thank our family circle, friends and neighbours for all their help. Thanks to all who brought gifts of food, those who provided refreshments and helped out in the family home especially Fiona and Jennifer, Carol’s daughters who worked tirelessly over the wake. Thanks to everyone who brought or sent Mass/Sympathy cards, called at the family home, text or left messages on social media and all who made donations to the Intensive Care Unit, Royal Victoria Hospital. We wish to thank the staff of South West Acute Hospital, Enniskillen and Altnagelvin Hospital, Derry for the care and kindness shown to Cathal and to us as a family. A very special thanks to Fr Padraig McKenna, PP and Canon John McKenna, PE for the beautiful Requiem Mass, thanks to the sacristan, Eucharistic Minister and Cara McGillion for the lovely music. Thanks to Orla from ‘Hello Petal’, for the beautiful floral arrangements and to the ladies of Trillick Leisure Centre for the welcome refreshments after the burial. Finally, we wish to thank Kelly’s Funeral Directors, for the dignified and caring manner in which they carried out the funeral arrangements and the grave digger for preparing Cathal’s final resting place. As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, please accept this acknowledgement as a gesture of our family’s deepest gratitude.
Cathal’s Month’s Mind Mass will be celebrated on Sunday 2nd April at 11.00am. in St Macartan’s Church, Trillick.
