Cecilia DEVLIN
The family of the late Cecilia Devlin, Tynure, Lissan, would like to express our sincere and heartfelt gratitude to all our kind relatives, friends and neighbours who supported us during our recent bereavement.
We are indebted to all those who visited the home, sent Mass cards, sympathy cards, letters, messages and expressed their condolences via telephone and social media. We took great solace on the morning of the funeral from the support of everyone who lined the funeral cortege route, from those who joined us at the Chapel, and from those who viewed Cecilia’s funeral Mass online.
Our sincere gratitude to Monsignor Curry, Fr. Hughes and Fr McCann for their spiritual support and guidance and for celebrating Cecilia’s beautiful Requiem Mass.
A special word of thanks to Patricia Maguire and Rory Madden for providing the lovely singing and music which added so much to the Funeral Mass and made it so memorable. Thank you also to the Church Sacristan, Eucharistic Ministers, and all those who participated in the funeral liturgy.
Thank you to Adrian Bell, Drone Services NI, for kindly producing the drone coverage which allowed those who could not attend the opportunity to view Cecilia’s funeral cortege.
A special word of thanks to the gravediggers who prepared Cecilia’s resting place with great care and to all those who helped us in any way.
We would sincerely like to thank Joanna and all at Niall A Loughran funeral directors for the very efficient, dignified, and professional manner in which they carried out all the funeral arrangements.
Thank you to Lissan Hall Committee for the use of their lovely Hall and for volunteering to serve the food after Cecilia's funeral. Also to the Greenvale Hotel for providing the food.
The family would like to thank everyone who helped care for Cecilia especially the dedicated staff in the MacMillan Ward in Antrim Area Hospital and the nurses and carers who looked after her at home.
As it is not possible to thank everyone individually, we trust this acknowledgement will be accepted as a small gesture of our sincere appreciation. The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass will be offered for all your intentions.
Cecilia’s Months Mind Mass will be celebrated on Sunday 5th March 2023 @ 10:30am in St. Michael’s Church, Lissan and can be viewed on the church webcam link below.
