We the family of the late Charlie Simpson, wish to express our sincere gratitude to all whom sympathised with us following the death of our much loved husband, father, father in law, grandfather and brother.
Thank you to all whom attended the wake and funeral service from near and far. To those whom lined the route as Charlie was brought on his final journey.
To all whom sent mass cards, sympathy cards, letters, flowers, telephoned and brought food to the home. To those whom have generously made donations in lieu of floral tributes to the Southern Area Hospice Newry.
To our friends and colleagues whom have provided us with loving, caring and supportive words during this difficult time.
We would like to acknowledge those whom prepared food during the wake and to the Sheepbridge Restaurant for providing food after the funeral service. To those whom were a constant presence during the wake, organising and directing aspects which were required to allow things to run smoothly and efficiently.
A special word of thanks to Father Charles Byrne for his pastoral care in the weeks before Charlie’s death, following his passing and during the beautiful requiem mass. Also to sacristan Kathleen Kearney for her assistance and to Sharon Larkin for the beautiful singing during the mass.
A sincere thanks to Dr Mullan and Dr Fisher of Scarva Street Surgery Loughbrickland, who cared for Charlie so attentively throughout his illness and allowed his last few days to be so comfortable at home. Also to the diligent reception staff Anita and Stephanie whom reacted to our needs when we called. Thanks for the support and care provided also by District Nurses Catherine and Roisin which allowed Charlie to have a peaceful and comfortable passing.
To the many healthcare professionals from the Royal Victoria Hospital, Belfast City Hospital in particular the Cancer Centre, Craigavon Area Hospital and Daisy Hill Hospital whom provided outstanding care and treatment to Charlie over the years. We are so grateful.
Thank you to Stephen Fitzpatrick Funeral Undertakers whom provided an excellent service with care, compassion and empathy; for the professionalism and dignified way the funeral arrangements were undertaken. Also to the gravedigger for preparing Charlie’s final resting place.
We sincerely hope this acknowledgment will be accepted by all as a token of our sincere thanks and appreciation as it would be impossible to thank everyone individually.
A month’s mind mass will be held on Sunday 3rd October at 10.00am in St Patricks Church Loughbrickland. This can also be viewed via webcam for those unable to attend.
