We the family of the late Charlie Doherty (Harding Street) would like to thank the everyone for their support, prayers and kindness and expressions of sympathy following the sad passing of a loving husband, father, grandfather, father in law, brother, uncle, neighbour and friend.

We are all heartbroken at the very sudden loss of a very special and gentle person.

We would like to thank the paramedics Dee and Kevin who gave Charlie such good care and attention and thank you also to the cardiology team, Altnagelvin Hospital.

We would like to thank Fr Gerard Mongan and Fr Forbes for their support to us a family at this very difficult time and for celebrating Charlie’s life in a beautiful requiem mass.

Thank you also to Charlie’s nieces & nephew for their beautiful music at the funeral mass which brought great comfort to us all.

Thank you to Pride of Northside and all Charlie’s friend from the club especially Jim O’Donnell and to Derry City Football Club for their support at the wake and funeral.

We would like to especially thank the Longtower Parochial house staff and friends for all the food and your support and kindness shown to us over the wake. Also to Pat Kennedy for all your generosity and support and kindness’s shown to us it was greatly appreciated.

Thanks also to all our amazing neighbours at Harding street and friends and family for all there kindness and support shown to us at this sad time.

We would like to thank Bradley & McLaughlin Funeral Directors for their dignified way in which they carried out the arrangements and supported us as a family.

As it is impossible to thank everyone individually please accept this acknowledgment as a token of our family’s deep appreciation.

Sacred heart of Jesus have mercy on his soul.
