The death has occurred of:
Charlie MOSS
MOSS, 3th July 2024
Charlie’s wife, Maureen, stepdaughter Angela, son in law Steve, loving grandchildren Barney and Ellie, and the entire family circle would like to extend our deepest gratitude for the unwavering support during Charlie’s illness and final days. We are so grateful for your prayers, kind words and comfort, especially after the recent passing of Charlie’s sister, Mary Doherty RIP.
A special thank you to the dedicated carers who cared for Charlie at home, Care Agency staff, Castlederg District Nursing team and the Doctor’s in Castlederg surgery. We are forever grateful for your kindness. We also want to express our heartfelt appreciation to the staff in the Palliative Care Unit at Omagh Hospital who not only provided care for Charlie with such compassion and gentleness in his final weeks but also provided comfort to the entire family. Thank you to all who gave donations to the Palliative Care Unit.
We are so blessed to have a wonderful family circle of people who are willing to give generously of their time and skills to prepare for the wake and funeral and providing hospitality. Appreciation to Killeter Heritage Centre for the loan of practical items for the wake.
To all those who travelled from near and far to be with us, your love and support warmed our hearts deeply. Charlie would have been touched by the love and compassion you have shown all of us, his brothers, sisters and the wider family. To everyone who sent cards or gestures of sympathy and remembrance via social media, your thoughtfulness has provided comfort during this challenging time and has lifted our spirits.
Our appreciation to all the clergy for their attendance during the wake. However, our deepest thanks is to Fr Paul Fraser, whose presence and guidance was a source of strength for our family and brought solace during Charlie’s illness. For celebrating the Requiem Mass during which a heartfelt Homily warmed our hearts with elements of Charlie’s life and gentle character.
We share our thanks with all who participated in the Liturgy, Sacristans, Eucharistic Ministers and to James McShane, Soloist and Joan McCrystal for the accompanying music, all of which made Charlie’s mass most special.
Appreciation and thanks to all those who attended the funeral or joined via the webcam. Deepest gratitude is expressed to Brendan and Angelo who prepared Charlie’s final resting place. Our thanks to the staff at Aghyaran Centre who provided the beautiful welcoming lunch after the burial.
Thanks are extended from all the family to Mr Charles Lynch (Funeral Director) and Martin Donnelly for their respectful and professional managing of the funeral arrangements and for all their guidance offered during this time.
Charlie’s Month’s Mind Mass will be celebrated on Saturday 17th August 2024 at 7.30pm in St. Patrick’s Church, Aghyaran.
