Christine CONNOLLY (née Boyle)
Acknowledgement from the Family of the late Christine Connolly (née Boyle)
We the family of the late Christine Connolly, who died on the 12th of November 2023, her daughters Sinéad and Moira, her sons-in-law Franck and Gary, her granddaughters Erin and Ellie, her sister Margaret and her entire family circle, would like to express our most heartfelt appreciation to all of you who sympathised with us in our deeply sad bereavement. We greatly value each one of you who took the time to attend the wake and funeral, send mass cards, sympathy cards, flowers and donated online.
A very special word of thanks to the Doctors, Nurses and Healthcare Staff of Daisy Hill Hospital who cared for Christine with so much love and devoted attention. We are forever grateful for your tireless efforts, professional skills and kindness. We also wish to thank our family's Medical Practice at Clanrye Surgery for their professional care and support.
Our deep-felt thanks to all our very kind and special friends and neighbours in Chestnut Grove who helped us in so many ways - in the kitchen over the wake and all the neighbours who baked and left food. We will never forget your enormous kindness to Mammy and our family over the years.
We must pay a very special tribute to Fr Carlos Esteban for his deeply spiritual Requiem Mass. There are no words to express our gratitude for his compassion and sensitivity with Mammy in her final days and the immense support, tenderness and love he shared with us as a family.
Our heartfelt thanks to Sinéad McGowan for the beautiful singing, to Terry Rafferty for the organ music and to those who took part in Christine's Mass to make it such a special and deeply spiritual celebration.
Our sincere gratitude to all the Staff of Heaney Keenan Funeral Directors who carried out Christine's funeral arrangements with such dignified professionalism and sensitivity. We are so grateful to Patricia and her team for their support, compassion and very personal touches.
A special thank you to Cecilia and the Central Florist team for the incredible house arrangements and floral tributes.
We are also very appreciative of the 'Family of St Paul's High School', who in their inimitable way, offered so much love, friendship and support to our family. A very special thank you to the Yr12 students who performed the guard of honour in such a dignified and sensitive manner.
It is impossible to thank all of you, our family, friends and neighbours individually, for your love and friendship during this time of incredible heartache but we trust this acknowledgement will be accepted as a token of our appreciation and deep gratitude.
Christine's Months Mind Mass will be celebrated on Sunday 10th December at 12.00, in Newry Cathedral.
