Christopher Goodman, Fintona, Co Tyrone.
Died 26th May 2026.

We, the family of the late Christy wish to express our sincere appreciation and heartfelt thanks to all those who sympathised, prayed for and supported us through our recent sad bereavement. Dad was a devoted family man, dearly loved partner of Joanne, adored father of Charlene (Thomas), Darren (Kelly), Christine (Michael) and Holly, a devoted grandfather to his 8 grandchildren, and a much loved brother, brother in law, uncle and friend.

Thank you to everyone who called to the wake in Grianan House Funeral Home. Sincere thanks to all who brought food and to those who helped serve tea, this was greatly appreciated. Our thanks also to those who telephoned, sent Mass or Sympathy cards, messages or flowers, lined the funeral route or joined us at the Requiem Mass, especially those who travelled long distances to be with us.

We are blessed to have had the love and support of our relatives, friends and neighbours, throughout this difficult time, this has helped us in so many ways to find strength to grieve together as a family.

A special word of thanks to Father Sean Mulligan PP for his spiritual support and the very comforting Requiem Mass. We appreciate the time and effort gone into it especially the beautiful homily he wrote for Dad. We convey our appreciation also to the Sacristan and everyone who took part in the Liturgy, especially our readers, and our musician Louise Coyle who provided the beautiful reverent and uplifting music.

Thank you to McAtee Funeral Directors for bringing our Dad home and for all of the advice and help throughout, nothing was too big or too small. Also like to thank them for the dignified and professional manner in which they carried out all of Dads funeral arrangements and for making sure everything was perfect for us. Thanks also to the gravedigger Tommy for preparing Dad’s final resting place, and also to Roisin of Nettles & Petals for the lovely floral tribute.

And finally, we send our sincere thanks and deep appreciation to all of the carers with whom Dad came into contact, the district nurses who ensured Dad had everything he needed in the last few years and to the Doctors and staff of Fintona Medical Centre, we are very grateful for the kindness and respect shown to him.

As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, please accept this acknowledgement as a gesture of our family’s deepest gratitude.

Dad is loved and missed every day. May his gentle, kind, generous soul be granted peace and eternal rest. His Month’s Mind Mass will be celebrated in St Lawrence’s Church, Fintona on Saturday 11th July at 10am. Our Lady pray for him.
