The death has occurred of:
Christopher Hamilton
The family of the late Christopher Hamilton, 5 Lisdoo Road, Strabane, wish to express their sincere gratitude to all those who sympathised and supported them in the sudden passing of Christopher. We want to thank those who sent sympathy cards, letters, social media messages, flowers and very generous donations to Air Ambulance NI. Thank you also to those who attended the wake and funeral.
Thank you to everyone who came to the house, brought food, and helped us throughout the wake.
A special thanks to Strabane Rugby Club for providing a guard of honour at Christopher’s funeral, you all did him proud.
A sincere thanks to Rev. Johnny McFarland for his pastoral support and for the beautiful funeral service, to Esme McGerrigle and Trevor McGerrigle for their touching words and eulogy for Christopher. Thank you to Lisa Hamilton and Rachel & Emma Glendinning for arranging the slideshow and music at the church. Thank you to Valerie, Stephen and Iain for reading at the service and to Ruby Trimble for playing the organ. A special thanks to Christopher’s Uncle Leslie for piping at both the home and church.
Thank you to Lowry at Milltown Digital Productions for recording the service and to Northern Sky Photography for producing a beautiful video of Christopher’s final journey (very kindly organised by Artigarvan Primary School & Community Nursery).
We wish to express our gratitude to all the those who cared for Christopher on that Saturday afternoon, to the neighbours who helped Joanne and looked after the girls in their home, to Edel and Donna for bringing the defibrillator and carrying out CPR and to every emergency service that arrived to try help save Christopher’s life. To everyone who was there that day we are so grateful to each of you.
To Billy Kee and Terence McClintock Funeral Directors, for the dignified and courteous manner in which they carried out the funeral arrangements, to Pollocks for the beautiful flowers and Smugglers Inn for the food and refreshments after Christopher’s funeral.
As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, we hope this acknowledgement will be accepted by all as a token of our sincere appreciation.
We were surrounded by love and support for which we will be forever grateful.
