CIARAN CALDWELL

ACKNOWLEDGEMENT / MONTH'S MIND MASS

It is with heartfelt gratitude we, Ciaran's family, would like to thank all of Radiology Department for their commitment and professionalism in the diagnosing and treatment of Ciaran's illness and prolonging of his life.

The Pink Ladies Cancer Support Group for their endless community support, help, advice and practical support and practical assistance always on offer.

The nurses through out of hours, rapid response, district and Marie Curie for their help support care and intervention. The Mission Impossible team Sara and Grainne for their devotion, constant care and love Andy for providing much needed back-up service and love. Father Baker, St. Columba's, Long Tower, for getting out of bed at midnight and coming to Glenowen to administer to and anoint Ciaran on his final journey.

Ambulance transport for their compassion and sensitivity in getting Ciaran to the Hospice as comfortably as possible.
The Foyle Hospice for the compassion, empathy, sensitivity and care they provided for Ciaran and his loved ones at the end of his journey, maintaining dignity, ensuring comfort and achieving peace.

All the cousins, Edele, (who has been a great support to us all through Ciaran's illness) Ciara, Emer, Aine, Mollie, Grainne, Deirdre, Linda, Jacqueline, John and Kathleen C for the endless tea, coffee and sandwiches. Ciaran's favourite restaurant The Old Docks and John (his cousin) for the hot food and Kathleen C for the cakes and biscuits.

My wonderful neighbours Gerald and Niall for the Gazebo and for the tidy up of the Avenue and gardens, and Honor for looking after our wee dog Finn who loved Ciaran. Also for their support during the months of Ciaran's illness.

The Magnet Bar Golfing Society for their camaraderie, their guard of honour and the wee top secret golfing trip in January (ssshhh) which Ciaran loved.

A very special word of gratitude and thanks to Michaela, Ciaran's boss in the hospital for her care and generosity in encouraging Ciaran to live the best working life he could in the cancer unit and making every effort to protect him from Covid. Also for her continued support during the wake and for her sister Erin Carlin for providing the beautiful voice and music throughout the service. An exceptional experience.

Fr. Farren for the beautiful personalised service and the Holy Mass, and his attendance at the burial and sensitivity to all of us grieving.

Bradley & McLaughlin for their professionalism, sensitivity, respect and service.

For my friends and relations at home and abroad, my Bible Study group for their continued prayers and support since Ciaran's diagnosis.

For all those who came to the wake and offered sympathy and support, including wonderful stories of Ciaran's life from childhood to the present time, for the mass and sympathy cards and all who attended the requiem mass and funeral, and for all who thought of him and said a prayer

We will forever remember Ciaran as a very loving son, loyal brother and an amazing and loving dad to Caleb and Chris and loving uncle to Fionn.

Months Mind Mass will be celebrated in St. Eugene's Cathedral on Friday 17th. of June at 7:30 p.m.
