Claire (Sr Virgilius) O'BRIEN

Dominican Convent, Fortwilliam Park, formerly of St. Dominic’s Belfast, Dominican College, Portstewart, Aquinas House, 123 Mount Merrion Avenue, 47 St Mary’s, Mount Merrion Avenue, Swaziland South Africa.
In the loving care of her Dominican Sisters, and the staff of Santa Sabina House, Cabra, on October 23rd 2020. Much loved and deeply regretted by her sister Therese Kane, her brother John O’Brien her sisters-in-law Bernagh O’Brien and Maura O’Brien, her brothers-in-law Vincent Mageean and Brendan Close, her many nieces and nephews, grand nieces and nephews, and her Dominican Sisters and past pupils. She was pre-deceased by her sisters, Celine Close, Colette Sullivan and Kathleen Mageean and brothers P. J. Toner and Joseph O’Brien and brothers-in-law Ned Kane and Gay Sullivan.

Owing to Government restrictions at present, a private funeral Mass will take place on Monday October 26th, followed by burial in St Catherine’s Convent cemetery.

St. Dominic pray for her.

We look forward to meeting you all at a celebration of Sr Claire’s life at a later date.
