The death has occurred of:
Colum SMITH
The family of the late Colum Smith (Clady) have requested this acknowledgement is posted with gratitude and appreciation to very many people.
Colum's wife Molly, sons, daughters, grandchildren and sister Teresa and entire family circle wish to express their sincere thanks to all those who supported and sympathised with them during their recent bereavement.
To all our wonderful family, friends and neighbours whose help and support was invaluable we cannot thank you all enough.
To all those who attended the wake and funeral, brought masscards and gifts of food and floral tributes we are deeply grateful. We thank also all those who travelled a distance to pay their respects in person and indeed to the countless people who sent messages and even took time to write lovely cards and letters.
We thank the ladies who made and served the tea to the wake attendees over the busy days of the wake.
Particular thanks to Fr Greg Carvill of CillChluana parish for his pastoral care of Colum and for his ongoing support to us as a family and to Canon Sean ONeill of Keady parish for his prayerful presence at the wake and for celebrating a very special and personal funeral mass. Thanks also to Catherine and Dermot for the wonderful music to enhance the celebration of the mass and to Eileen the Sacriston for preparing the church. We were extremely proud and deeply honoured to have Raymond McCone pipe Colum to the church on the bagpipes a beautiful tribute to his uncle Colum.
Words seem inadequate to express our thanks to Orchard Lodge Nursing home for their exemplary care and kindness shown to Colum and to us.
Finally to the gravedigger for preparing Colum's final resting place and to Bridget and BJ from Mone Funeral Directors for their complete and responsive handling of all the funeral arrangements.
At the risk of failing to mention someone we trust this acknowledgement will be accepted by all as a sincere token of our appreciation.
Colum's month mind mass will be held in St Micheal's Church Clady on Saturday 24th May @ 11am
