Dearest Trainor family and friends: It was my honor and delight to have met Dr. Trainor in 1990 and 1991 when I visited Belfast from the U.S., with my father, then with my brother. We were researching my father’s family that had lived in the Derriaghy area outside Belfast. Dr Trainor drove my brother and me all over the area on a wild hunt in a heavy rain storm for the family homes, and it was one of the most delightful memories of my life. My brother and I still enjoy the memory. Dr Trainor and I continued to correspond from time to time, and our family always thought of him with great affection and admiration. He will be greatly missed, but never forgotten. Sending our most sincere condolences. Your entire family is in our heart and our prayers.
