Latest Sympathy Notices

To the Gaughan family, Gerry's wife, his daughters, Aisling and her family and all the Grants. It was with deep shock and sadness that I learned of Gerry's death. We sat together through primary school and to be welcome in his house by his mother Eileen was frequently a treat after school. Eileen was always a very supportive and encouraging person to me as I journeyed in my own life.
I met Gerry here in Dublin a few years ago at Blackrock College where he had worked on the new school building. We reminisced a lot of our times at St Peter's and of all the characters that speckled our early lives in Warrenpoint. He spoke of you his family with delight and pride. We agreed to meet up sometime and tell more of our story but it didn't happen.
I'm so sorry that his life has ended so suddenly. He was a good man who lived life fully and gave much joy to others. May he rest now in the Lord and may his mother be there at the door to welcome him home!
