To be together in the same old way, would be our only wish today.
We laugh, we cry, we play our part, but behind it all lies a broken heart.
We hide our tears when we speak your name, without you life's not the same.

We thought that you were happy, we must have been blind.
We knew that you were suffering, but we didn't know your mind.
You left our hearts all aching, and we don't know how to cope.
If we had talked it over, there might have been some hope.
