Fond memories of Martin, God Bless Saturday 29 February 2020 Elaine

Our brother, brother-in-law, and uncle Martin. So easy to love, impossible to forget. Nobody else could sing Bob Marley, recite Yeats, or make us laugh quite like you. You will be sorely missed but the Legend that is Marty D lives on. Yours was truly a life well lived, and we love you for it.  Thursday 27 February 2020 Jacinta, Jim, Jamie, Conor, Ciara, Mackenzie, Declan, Aislinn, Brendan, and Kian

In memory of my uncle Martin, his passion for life and the enjoyment he derived from it was infectious. I will be forever grateful for being lucky enough to experience it first hand and the time we got to spend together.
He will live on in the hearts and minds of the people whose lives he touched. Thursday 27 February 2020 Rian

In memory of Martin,
He came into our lives and brought joy and kindness to all our family.
A colourful character who was great company whenever we met.
He touched all our hearts but now he’s gone he’ll never be forgotten.
A true friend and a man we all admired and love.

Martin was my nephew so I am slightly partisan.
He was a wonderful companion with a wide variety of interests - poetry to music.

We were blessed to have Martin in our lives. He had a kind heart and a beautiful soul and we loved him dearly. Martin will live on in our hearts forever. Wednesday 26 February 2020 Anne M Hawkins, Belfast

For my father, who I loved so much. I will miss you and hold you close in my heart.

And I shall have some peace there, for peace comes dropping slow,
Dropping from the veils of the morning to where the cricket sings;
There midnight's all a glimmer, and noon a purple glow,
And evening full of the linnet's wings (W.B. Yeats)

Your loving son Ross and Hilary Wednesday 26 February 2020 Ross Downey (Son)

In memory of our beloved brother and uncle, Marty D.
“The winds that sometimes take something we love,
are the same thing that brings us something we learn to love.
Therefore we should not cry about something that was taken from us,
but yet love what we have been given. Because what is really ours is never gone forever.”
(Robert “Bob” Nesta Marley).
All our love Joanne and Connie Tuesday 25 February 2020
