My earliest friend (1954), since the early neighbourhood days and Friday night childrens' meetings in Ballyhackamore Gospel Hall. I moved to England then USA and back to England but our paths crossed over the years and we always kept in touch.
We never forgot each others' birthdays (3 weeks older than me) and Woody sent me a b'day email some 3 weeks before he passed away....telling me to "stay safe old friend..."
I feel very sad but can also reflect on good memories, and knowing that he's home at last.
We cannot bring the old times back, when we were all together,
but good thoughts I have of you will remain forever.
