Noel was a gentleman, never passed by without a yarn or three, I will miss our chats in superval, we spent many happy days as children in Dundonald when my Mum took us visiting!

We have so many fond memories of Noel. He loved that his cousin and former band mate had become a couple and many an evening he had us in stitches with stories about the old days. We will really miss his straight talking and quirky sense of humour.

Noel was one of the few people I enjoyed bumping into when I was out and about.
Several years ago I met Noel near the Square in Newtownards. We reminisced about family, people, music, places (mostly Carrowreagh and Dundonald) and recalled and exchanged stories from childhood, adolescence and adulthood. At times we spoke and laughed so loudly that some passersby were quite bewildered.
Noel had an amiable personality, a quick wit and a wonderful sense of humour.
I didn't realise that would be the last time I would see him.
The news of his passing is heartbreaking.
