I am so sorry to hear this very sad news. I had the pleasure of getting to know Geraldine when she worked the Academy Restaurant on the Ulster University Magee campus in the mid 1980's. I was student, she was a great person, so caring, looking after all of us. She had a great sense of fun and a really infectious laugh, she was such a generous person who was always willing to listen and to help us.
I now work at Ulster and met Geraldine again recently at a Pink Ladies event in the Waterfoot Hotel in February 2020. The first thing she did was hug me and asked after my mum and dad. (We had all attended a wedding of a friend and colleague in Donegal and as you can imagine she was the life and soul of the party)
I know she will be missed by all who knew her. I'm sorry I can't be with you to celebrate her life but my prayers and thoughts are with you all.
