Latest Sympathy Notices

I am very sad to hear the news about the passing of Barbara (Babs) and I want to pass on my condolences to Barbara’s family at this sad time. I have known Babs and Robert since I was 16, over 40 years, it was lovely that they could come to our wedding in 1988 and we got to meet Simon for the first time back then. I always enjoyed visiting them when over in Ireland visiting my own family and had many a good day out walking the hills in Donegal with them and the staffies. Babs made our wedding cake and was such a wonderful cook and also knit many beautiful things, we still treasure the beautiful white blankets for our daughters. I last spoke with her on the telephone in March and saw her last in August 2016. I lived away but she was often on my mind and we talked from time to time on the phone. I will miss her presence in my life.
Whenever I saw or spoke to Barbara, she would mention her family and she was very proud of children, grandchildren and great grandchildren and truly loved living in Tyrone and their lovely home at Newtownstewart. I am very sorry that it is not possible to be with you now, today at Barbara’s funeral, I am thinking of you all, and especially Babs and Bob. I have so many happy memories to hold and will always hold both Barbara and Robert dear.
Sincere condolences.
Kate (and family) fondly known to Barbara and Robert as ‘half pint’, Thursday 03 September 2020 Kate Galvin (Bill, Olivia and Sorcha)
