Latest Sympathy Notices

Uncle Oliver was a very close cousin to my late father (Ian Greer, who grew up in Killyleagh, and who came to Canada in 1952). During my many visits to Northern Ireland we would visit him and Auntie Molly. I well remember our visit in 1986 when my father, mother and I were in Ulster for the wedding of their daughter (my cousin) Kathryn to Trevor. Also at that time I was doing research on Northern Ireland affairs. Uncle Oliver was very helpful as he introduced me to many insightful people. I last saw him in the autumn of 2016. I introduced him to my wife, and to my daughter and son. My daughter was on her way to a church college in England, and my son was still in high school. He was quite impressed with them. We were having a family gathering which also included Auntie Molly, their daughters Kathryn and Isobel with their husbands and families. My wife well remembers when we all sang some hymns together. May God rest you Uncle Oliver, and you Aunt Mollie. May God give comfort to Kathryn and Trevor and to Isobel and Alan and to their families that we will all see them again in the company of Our Blessed Saviour. (My apologies for the lateness of this message, but I only found this out just after the Christmas and New Years holidays.) A silent prayer keeps us in touch; with the one we loved and miss so much.
