I write on behalf of the School of Mathematics and Physics at Queen's University Belfast to state our condolence for the sad loss of Prof. Crothers.
Derrick gave a significant contribution to the education and training of generations of students within the School, leveraging his unrivaled mathematical abilities to the progress of theoretical atomic and molecular physics. He will be fondly remembered by his colleagues and friends.
The School would like to pass their sympathy to Derrick's family.
