A very special man was he
He deeply loved his family
What a great loss his death will be
A deeply loved husband and father
And loving grandfather too
He touched the hearts of everyone
With the love he showed for you
He was a total gentleman
And our friendship it grew and grew
He'll leave a gap inside the hearts
Of everyone he knew
He fought that dreaded illness
To stay with his girls and wife
But he had suffered far too long
He fell asleep and gave up life
It would've broken his heart to leave his family
Who he loved with every fibre of life
If love could have cured him
He'd never have left his girls and his wife
So to daughters Melanie and, Tracey
And to his darling wife Mae
I send my love and sympathy
To help you through the coming day
Barry was a very special person
He gave more than he took
His love for his friends and family
And his gentle, quiet outlook
We have lost a special person
A true gentleman to the end
You have lost a husband and father
And I've lost an amazing friend
