So sad to hear the news.
At the Dick Vet College, the year of 68 will have many happy memories of Derek and particularly his skilled use of the tie as a microphone as he entertained the throng in the Falcon on a Saturday night, although we all knew that because of licensing laws, we would all be thrown out at 10pm to go looking for a party.
