I refereed many times at Ballyclare. I always received lots of “advice” from Laurence! But after match he always greeted me with a warm smile and a big friendly handshake. He embodied all that is good about the game of rugby football and Ballyclare RFC in particular. A true gentleman who will be sadly missed.
