Deepest sympathy on the death of a great missionary woman. Like her namesake, St Therese of Lisieux, Theresa was a missionary from the depth of her heart without ever leaving her native place. Sawell Place was a ‘home from home’ for so many SMA priests as it was for Salesians and other missionaries. There are thousands of Africans who first heard the Good News from missionaries whom Theresa helped in their training as SMA priests. Thank you Theresa. I pray the Little Flower, your dear brother Fr Tommy SDB, Fr Jack Rodgers SMA and all your other loved family members were at the Gate of Heaven to welcome you home. God rest you Theresa.
