Softly within the shadows, she heard a gentle call,
and taking the hand of Jesus, she quietly left us all.
A golden heart stopped beating, two willing hands are still,
the one who did so much for us is resting at God's will.
There is a love that's precious and rare,
that only a mother and daughter can share,

from the day I was born until the day that you died.
